Healthy Homemade Granola Bars

 Our family eats quite the abundance of granola bars. I was buying boxes and boxes at the grocery store, and somehow, they never seemed to last.

I finally decided I would make them myself! This recipe is delicious - my kids and hubby love it!


Homemade Granola Bars
4 tbsp butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup honey
1 cup oats
1 cup granola
1 cup rice krispies
1/4 cup chocolate chips


 First melt butter, brown sugar, and honey together. 

Then mix oats, granola, and rice krispies together. 


Then add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. 


After it's thoroughly mixed, add chocolate chips and spread onto a pan. 


Stick in the fridge for a couple hours and they'll be firm enough to cut apart into bars :)


My favorite part about this recipe is that you can customize it anyway you desire. Throw some peanut butter in there, small marshmallows, maybe some flax seed!
