Maddie Fashion

As I've mentioned quite a bit recently, we've been struggling with Maddie. 

Lots of attitude and behaviors that we don't approve of, and seemingly no way that encourages her to change.

During all of this, it's hard to want to be around her.

Which is hard to say.

But that's the truth. 

Parenting is hard, and this season is a tough one. 

So we've been defaulting to the love. She stresses us out, so we love on her. She has a bad attitude; we cuddle. She yells or screams, we read a book together. She doesn't follow directions, we color together. 

This may seem counterproductive to some, or even encouraging bad behavior. But you do not know the extremes to which we have gone to try to combat the current issues. 

We don't know what else to do, so we up the love. 

One of Maddie's favorite things to do is dress up. 

And she loves it even more when we also take pictures!

So we've started doing Maddie Fashion Shoots. 

It's a fun bonding experience for her and I. 

We go for a couple hours, changing outfits, taking pictures. 

She loves it. 

And I love to see her happy.
