I've had a few people request a brush directory of sorts. These are my favorite brushes, I use these everyday. I have many more, but we'll get to those later. These are the essentials. Don't underestimate a good brush! It will make all the difference in how satisfied you are with your make-up, how long your make-up looks good, and how easy it is to apply.
This is a MAC 266 small angle brush. It's used for eyes and eyebrows. I use mine for my brows. It has a great shape and texture for filling in my sparse excuses for eyebrows.
This is a MAC 213 fluff brush for eye shadows. I generally use this one for any shadow on my lid itself and for highlight near my eyebrows.
This is a MAC 219 pencil brush. I use it for smoking out my bottom lid shadow - it works amazing and makes all the difference.
This is a Tarte kabuki brush. It's used for apply powders to the face and I use mine for applying blush. Gives nice full strokes and applies very smooth.
This is an Urban Decay shadow brush. I got this with my Urban Decay Naked Palette. I use this if I need more precise lid shadow.
This is a MAC 168 contour brush. It's great for using powders to define your face. I use this with my NARS Albatross.
This is a Sephora crease shadow brush 73. Everyone needs this brush. It drastically changes how your crease shadow looks.
This is a Sonia Kashuk powder brush that I got at least 5 years ago. It's a cheap brush, compared to the MAC, but it's held up so well. Use with any face powder - generally setting powder.
This is my all time favorite brush. It's a Sephora Pro Buffing Brush 62. It's used with cream, liquid, or mousse foundations. This brush will change your life. It makes foundation application a breeze, and you will look flawless!
This is a MAC 212 flat definer brush. I use it for precise application of under eye shadow and for smoking out my top liner.
