9 Month Old Necessities

Mr. Roman is getting so big! 9 months old on the 18th of this month. His preferred mode of transportation is rolling from place to place - not crawling or walking for him yet!

Here are a few of his Monthly Faves. 9 Month Old Necessities

Cover all bibs from Ikea - make baby led weaning much easier to clean up.

Ikea high chair - cute, functional, cheap. He loves hanging out there and watching his big brothers and sister.

Chewbeads Jane necklace - Romy loves the texture of this necklace for cutting his teeth. Total lifesaver.

Other teething toys - a couple Infantino teethers with wood and Sophie the Giraffe.

Carter's Pram Suit - keeps him cozy during the constant shuffling of children to and from school.

Just lounging in the cart.

Nails of the Day

Nails of the Day!

I've been wearing this lovely Sally Hansen polish in "Cinna-snap" for a few days. It's the first polish of this brand that I have. I LOVE the color, it's gorgeous. But unfortunately, it chips much faster than almost any other polish. I'll be looking for a similar color in a different brand.

Friday Faves: Mascara

New feature for every Friday! I'll be posting my favorites - whether that be a certain kind of make-up, fave clothes, shoes, anything that comes to mind.

This week's feature is mascara.

I'm very specific about how I like my mascara. Many that I have tried are too wet and too thin. Here are the best:

MAC Zoom Fast Black Lash: Love this mascara. I seriously cannot rave enough about it. I originally got it in a sample with my MAC order and I fell in love.  $16

Benefit They're Real: This is another great mascara - it's slightly thinner than the MAC, but not a huge difference. The MAC is a darker black. $23

Maybelline Volume Express: Get it at any drugstore. This mascara is really thin and wet straight out of the package, but if you take the cap off overnight, it'll dry to an almost perfect consistency. The applicator is decent, but usually wears out before the mascara is gone. Even though it may not sound great, its great for the price. $7

Birchbox Reviews

October's Birchbox:

Benefit Fake Up: I really liked this product. I have been having an under eye circle problem for a couple months, and it is hard to cover those suckers up. I have been using MAC Pro Longwear Concealer or Erase Paste, also by Benefit. Fake up has a hydrating ring around the concealer and applies so silky. The pearly sheen brightens up your eye area and distracts from your under eye circles. It doesn't cover as well as the other products I use, but it has a lightweight feeling that the other two lack. I'd recommend this product.

Evologie Stay Clear Cream: This cream is great! I have a hard time finding moisturizing creams that aren't too thin/thick for my oily skin. I noticed after using the cream morning and night that the existing blemishes I had (thanks PMS) were diminishing and no new ones were appearing. The price for a full sized bottle is hefty - $62 - so I'm not sure if I would recommend this. I'll have to use it for an extended period of time to determine if it's worth it!
Ruffian Nail Laquer in Hedge Fund: This polish was beautiful! Gorgeous green, perfect for fall. It lasted over a week (with a top coat) with no chipping. I will definitely buy more of these.

Pop Aqua Lacquer: Yuck. This lipgloss drove me crazy. Way too sticky, weird paddle-type applicator, awful color. This one was a big fail!

ChapStick Hydration Lock Vanilla Creme: LOVE. I'm so picky about my chapsticks, but this one is a keeper! Smelled wonderful, so silky smooth, and kept my lips hydrated for hours. Definitely pick this up!

Want!

Look at this fab over sized Aztec cardi. It's so perfect.
Must have it.
