Loving My Body






After having Lincoln, I had a hard time with getting back in shape. I was doing everything I knew how and my body was not cooperating. I felt sluggish, and just out of my comfort zone. 

I am not ashamed of my "before" body. My body made six beautiful children, it birthed those children, and made nourishment for them. I appreciate my body for all its done. 

But I knew I needed to find a new way to get in shape. 




I don't mean I had to get in shape, I think every mother deserves to do that on her own schedule, but I can feel the difference in my body when I'm not fit. I prefer to wait the six weeks after birth and go from there. 

I ended up joining Katy Hearn's Winter Challenge. Katy Hearn in a certified personal trainer. She frequently holds challenges, which is an eight week program and at the end, you can win prize money if you're chosen. 

I signed up and I loved it. It was life changing information and life changing support. I'm happy to say that so many women were there supporting each other, pushing each other, and loving each other. It's a rare thing to see these days, and it was glorious. 

Here are my before and after pictures from the challenge. The top row,  obviously before, were taken January 19th. The bottom row, the afters, were taken March 15th. 



These pictures were taken May 11. 


These results are from January to May of working out consistently, eating healthy (NOTE: I didn't say eating little, or not eating carbs, or not eating fats) and eating enough. 

I feel so much more energized these days. Happy with my body and loving the journey. All mamas NEED time to work on themselves and focus on being who they want to be. 

Mamas, listen to me...

Taking time for yourself does not mean you are taking time away from your child. 

You are a woman outside of being a mother and 

You. Matter. Too. 

Focus on yourself, your health, your happiness in balance with focusing on your children and partner. 

Love your body. Love yourself.

  1. This device does everything for you; it can make you forget about the importance of exercise. The product does help in making your belly look and feel tighter and firmer, but the lacey smith laila company does not claim that it’s an alternative to exercise….
