What to Bring to the Hospital

What does this mama of (almost) 6 put in the hospital bag?

Check it out, you don't need much! You will be surprised at how much the hospital provides and how much you really don't need in your stay there.

Bump Fashion

 35 weeks!
Or somewhere around there...
;)
Dress: Old Navy Maternity
Vest: LC Lauren Conrad
Sandals: Target
Necklaces: Forever 21

Feeling AMAZING today and yesterday. No heartburn, no contractions, plenty of sleep!
Not sure if baby dropped or if it's just a fluke, but I am loving this. I was even able to eat nearly a full meal yesterday. MIRACLE, I tell you!

This is the same dress from my date night post several weeks ago. It is so unbelievably comfortable! Soft, stretchy, and flattering too.
I added layered necklaces, the vest, and sandals to make the whole look casual.

MAKE UP

I was feeling the fall colors today!
Lorac Pro Palette 1 on the eyes
NYX Soft Cream Matte Lip in Tokyo on the lips.
Anastasia Beverly Hills aka EYEBROW QUEEN on the brows

ACCESSORIES

Chains and my fave midi rings from Forever 21
Sandals are ancient from Target

Biggest complaints: heartburn and some killer Braxton Hicks the last week or so.

Bump Fashion

I'm loving this pregnancy so far!
It's baby number six for me and by far the easiest.
Of course, one would expect my body would know what to do by this point.

Working out regularly and eating healthy are a huge factor in how good you feel during pregnancy (check out my pregnancy health post coming this week!)

Here is what I wore today. I must say, it's one of my favorite outfits.
It's comfortable, affordable, functional, and so so cute.

Hat and maternity dress are from Old Navy
Denim vest is from LC Lauren Conrad
Sandals and necklace are Target

Outfit of the Day

Went for a comfortable and casual look today - simple, soft, and chic makes for a happy mama.
Threw my hair in a top knot, added some stripes and sparkles - Voila!

Shirt is from Poppy and Dot. Very soft, stretchy comfortable. It's not a maternity shirt, just a regular tunic type of item, and as you can see I tied it under the belly.

Jeans are Mama Jeans from H&M. They have some of the softest and more comfortable maternity pants I've ever worn. Not to mention, they are usually $40 or under!

Also wearing sparkly pink Toms I've had forever to spice it up!

Make up today :) My favorites - Benefit Push Up Liner and MAC Sweet Experience lipstick.

Be back soon!

Pregnancy Fashion

We've all been there. Feeling like a huge, lumpy mess. Ready to throw out your entire wardrobe because nothing fits right anymore, ready to down a whole carton of ice cream in tears.
Ah, the joys of pregnancy.

The Not-So-Sunny Side of Pregnancy

Okay, let's be real for a minute. Pregnancy sucks!

Or at least it can. Not all the time and not for everyone, but the majority of us experience some of the less than pleasant symptoms and side effects of pregnancy...

1. Breaking Out Everywhere: On your face, your chest, your back, and for me - even on my neck/behind my ears. Not cool body, not cool. I've never experienced this in any of my other pregnancies, so this one is making me highly irritated.

To try to keep the breakouts at bay:
          1. Don't pick at them.
          2. Keep them clean.
          3. Exfoliate.
          4. Use natural make-up.
          5. And acne treatment if desired.

2. Exhaustion: This one is tough if you work and/or have other children. The eyes always threatening to close, the constant need to sit down, your bed constantly on your mind.

To keep the energy up:

Eat high energy and high protein foods:
          1. Edamame/soybeans
          2. Macadamia nuts
          3. Blueberries
          4. Whole grains
          5. Chicken
          6. Eggs
          7. Drink LOTS of water

Work out! Working out helps keep you in shape and you raring to go. Even if it's just a mini morning workout, do it! I'll post my workout routine in another post.

3. Sleep Troubles: Ugh. This is one I'm really fighting with right now. Hard getting to sleep, hard staying asleep, and in between that waking up to pee.

How to help:
         1. Start a nightly routine.
         2. Do prenatal yoga at night.
         3. Take a relaxing bath.
         4. Give yourself time to wind down.

And there's plenty of other icky, not-fun stuff, but we'll save it for another post.
